Quooker - the tap that does it all

Quooker is well on its way to conquering the world. Since it was invented in 1970 by Henri Peteri, the boiling-water tap has become an indispensable tool in kitchens all over the world. The Quooker was the very first boiling-water tap in the world. Inventions like the high-vacuum insulated tank, the all-in-one taps Quooker Fusion and Flex and the series of black boiling-water taps brought about a revolution in the kitchen. Innovation 'around the sink' still continues every day.

Frequently asked questions about our Sinks & Taps

  • The sink is one of the hardest working elements in any kitchen. Consider: size and configuration (a single bowl suits minimal kitchens; one and a half or double bowls offer more flexibility); material (stainless steel is durable and timeless; composite granite offers a softer look in a wide range of colours; ceramic is a classic for traditional kitchens); and whether to go undermount or inset. Also consider tap compatibility, particularly if you’re planning a Quooker. Our designers factor your sink into the overall design from the outset.

  • Composite granite is one of the hardest sink materials available, made from a blend of granite and resin, and resists scratching remarkably well. Stainless steel is also exceptionally tough in regular use, though surface marks can appear over time — higher grades such as 18/10 stainless steel offer superior durability. Ceramic is hard but can chip if heavy items are dropped against it.

  • A Quooker delivers instant boiling water directly from the tap, eliminating the need for a kettle and freeing up valuable worktop space. Add the CUBE and you also get chilled and sparkling filtered water from the same fixture. The range suits every style: the FUSION combines a full mixer tap with boiling water in one elegant design, the FLEX adds a pull-out hose for extra practicality, and the NORDIC offers a beautifully minimal look. Safety is built in throughout, with a childproof handle on the boiling function as standard. As a leading Quooker dealer, The Kitchen Store can help you choose the right model and finish.
